About the conference

The conference on data science in medicine is an international forum for discussing theory and practice of digital transformation in medicine and healthcare.

The conference aims to create an annual event that brings together medical experts discussing digital healthcare tasks and providing their requests to IT developers. Modern healthcare is a science driven field, and its digital transformation poses a serious long term challenge that is both an organizational and a technological one. A high quality transformation requires joint interdisciplinary research and development work of medical and computer scientists. This is not limited to simple work process automation, but should rather be a completely new approach based on gathering medical data from various sources and analyzing the data using state of the art artificial intelligence methods.

The conference topics include:

  • big data processing in various medical fields;
  • digital healthcare and big data;
  • artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches for medical problems and managing healthcare solutions;
  • organizing data workflow between medical institutions and IT organizations;
  • other digital medicine topics.
